Returning NCWA All-American Diara Spencer made his return to competition while freshman Karma Pugh recorded three falls as the Bulldogs traveled to Pullman, Washington, to take on nationally ranked Washington State and Idaho.

The Bulldogs opened the 2025 portion of their schedule at the Mat Cat Open in McMinnville, Oregon, as Fresno State returned to competition following the winter break.

The Bulldogs traveled to Costa Mesa to test themselves against varsity competition, facing NAIA member Westcliff and transitioning NCAA Division II programs Vanguard and Menlo. The challenging weekend provided Fresno State valuable experience against some of the strongest competition it would see all season.

Gabriela Ruacho led Fresno State with a runner-up finish at 180 pounds, advancing to the championship match against nationally ranked competition at the UT Tech Stampede Invitational. William Wareham and Michael Brent also earned third-place finishes as the Bulldogs completed their first out-of-state trip of the 2024-25 season.

William Wareham and Gabriela Ruacho captured individual titles while Damian Galvan and Michael Brent added runner-up finishes as Fresno State competed at the Battle at Sparta Invitational hosted by San Jose State.

Fresno State went a perfect 3-0 in pool play and advanced to the championship dual of the 2nd Annual Veterans Day Duals, finishing runner-up to defending champion Utah Tech. Diara Spencer led the Bulldogs with an undefeated day, while Gabriela Ruacho went 4-0 in the women's scramble event.

Returning NCWA All-American Diara Spencer battled back from an opening-round loss to defending national champion Cesar Ubico to place fifth as the Bulldogs opened the 2024-25 season at the Bill Musick Memorial Open in Fresno.

Fresno State closed the 2023–24 season at the 2024 NCWA National Championships, held March 14–16 at the Brookshire Grocery Arena in Shreveport–Bossier City, LA. The Bulldogs were led by All-American performances from Vanessa Mares and Diara Spencer.

Fresno State qualified all registered wrestlers to the NCWA National Championships following competition at the 2024 NCWA West Coast Conference Championships on March 2 in Las Vegas, Nev., hosted by UNLV.

Fresno State captured the men’s team championship at the 2024 NCWA California State Championships on February 18, 2024, hosted by Sacramento State in Sacramento, CA. The Bulldogs finished with 95 team points, while the women’s team placed third overall.
