Fresno State hosted the 3rd annual NCWA Veterans Day Duals on November 8 and 9 inside the Fresno State Student Recreation Center South Gym, welcoming programs from across the West Coast for a two day showcase of collegiate wrestling.

The Fresno State Wrestling Club kicked off its 2025–26 campaign at the Simpson Duals on November 1 in Redding, CA, featuring both the men’s and women’s squads. Despite fielding a short roster, the Bulldogs gained valuable early-season experience and saw standout wins from Jocelynn Benitez, Jazmin Kumler and Emmanuel Plascencia.

Fresno State closed the 2023–24 season at the 2024 NCWA National Championships, held March 14–16 at the Brookshire Grocery Arena in Shreveport–Bossier City, LA. The Bulldogs were led by All-American performances from Vanessa Mares and Diara Spencer.

Fresno State qualified all registered wrestlers to the NCWA National Championships following competition at the 2024 NCWA West Coast Conference Championships on March 2 in Las Vegas, Nev., hosted by UNLV.

Fresno State captured the men’s team championship at the 2024 NCWA California State Championships on February 18, 2024, hosted by Sacramento State in Sacramento, CA. The Bulldogs finished with 95 team points, while the women’s team placed third overall.

Fresno State competed in a tri-dual against San Jose State and Sacramento State on February 10, 2026, in San Jose, CA. Wrestling short-handed and navigating multiple lineup adjustments, the Bulldogs showed resilience despite falling in both duals.

Fresno State competed in a two-day NCWA team dual tournament at the Western Regional Duals on January 27–28, 2024, in Aberdeen, Wash. The Bulldogs won Pool A via tiebreakers on the men’s side to advance to the Championship Pool, while the women’s team faced a nationally competitive field at the Women’s National Duals.

Fresno State competed at the Mat Cat Open on January 7, 2024, hosted by Linfield University in McMinnville, Ore. The Bulldogs faced NCWA Northwest Conference opponents alongside NAIA, NCAA, and NJCAA competition, highlighted by strong performances from Vanessa Mares and Justin Nieves.

Fresno State traveled to Phoenix, AZ, to compete at the GCU Invitational on November 18, 2023. Facing a strong regional field, the Bulldogs gained valuable experience across both the men’s and women’s divisions, highlighted by a championship performance from Vanessa Mares.

Less than 24 hours after hosting the NCWA Veterans Day Duals, Fresno State returned to the mat to host the Bulldog Invitational on November 11, 2023, at the South Gym. The Bulldogs recorded multiple top-three finishes while navigating a demanding back-to-back competition weekend.
