Bulldogs Compete at Life Pacific Open

SAN DIMAS, Calif. — November 27, 2021

The Fresno State Wrestling Club traveled to San Dimas on November 27 to compete at the Life Pacific Open, continuing its early-season schedule before the holiday break.

The tournament featured a smaller field than previous events, giving the Bulldogs another opportunity to gain match experience as they continued building toward the second half of the season.

Tournament Recap

141 lbs — Jerry Coleman
After receiving a first-round bye, Coleman fell to Shawheen Ghalambor (Life Pacific) before dropping his consolation semifinal to Bradley Dockter (Ottawa).

165 lbs — Andres Cardona
Competing in a round-robin bracket, Cardona dropped a 6-3 decision to Jacob Byrd (Vanguard) before falling to Zachary Loutzenhiser (Ottawa).

285 lbs — Ricardo Jauregui
Jauregui fell to Jordan Patterson (Unattached) in the quarterfinals before rebounding with an 8-1 decision over Mark Williams (Ottawa). His tournament came to a close with a loss to Machiel Ruiz (Vanguard).

Next Up

Fresno State travels to Las Vegas, Nevada, on December 5 to compete at the UNLV Invitational.
