Bulldogs Sweep Home Duals Against Sacramento State and San Jose State
FRESNO, Calif. — November 11, 2022
The Fresno State Wrestling Club opened its home dual schedule with a dominant performance at the Fresno State South Gym, earning convincing victories over Sacramento State and San Jose State.
The Bulldogs controlled both duals from start to finish despite moving wrestlers throughout the lineup to fill weight classes. The evening also provided valuable exhibition opportunities for the women's team as the program continued preparing for the heart of the season.
Fresno State 51, Sacramento State 6
Fresno State opened the night with a commanding victory over Sacramento State, surrendering just one bout by forfeit. The Bulldogs controlled the dual from the opening whistle, winning nearly every contested match to cruise to a 51-6 victory.
Fresno State 42, San Jose State 14
The Bulldogs carried that momentum into their second dual of the evening, defeating San Jose State 42-14. Fresno State dropped matches at 125, 141, and 285 pounds but controlled the remainder of the lineup to complete the sweep.

The Bulldogs' women's squad also saw action in exhibition matches, with Evelyn Guzman (123), Jamilynne Gonzalez (130), and Natalia Martinez (235) each gaining valuable mat time.
